Hernandez Paintings
The Gary J. Hernandez oils on this page belong to my son, Mike, and his wife, Linda. I have also shown Tiziano Hernandez's "Icon," which I believe is one of his most beautiful paintings.

"Red Hibiscus" is in Linda's and Mike's home. I gave it to them Christmas, 2000. |
Gary's "Red Hibiscus" won 3rd place at The Visual Arts Alliance, Houston in 1991. He could have sold it many times after that show, but I got it first. I meant to give it to Mike and Linda then, but I waited until Christmas 2000 because I couldn't bear to part with it. In 1992, "Red Hibiscus" was chosen for "Top200 Finalists" "Artist's Magazine's Painting Competition." There were over 11,000 entries.

Gary's "Orange Cannas" was selected to appear in "The Best Of Flower Painting," edited by Kathryn Kipp, North Light Books. 1997, page 65. It was painted in 1993.

"Icon" is now in the home of the artist, Tiziano Hernandes. |

Tiziano's "Icon" is one of his most beautiful oils. It is highly symbolic. I love to hear him explain the symbolism, but I am not quite up to explaining it myself.
